Are You Lost?

I’m on my way home right now and have a few moments to share with you. I have no job and no place to stay and I’m starving. The economy is bad and people are in line waiting for a chance to get some food. I’m broke and with no money in my pocket I am heading home to the only person I think can help me, my Father.

Let me tell you I had it all, everything. I was rich living in the fast lane getting every desire I wanted fulfilled. I had friends, women and the best rooms. But I spent all my money and then no one stayed around long enough to help me. At first pride set in and I thought I could handle it but even then I had to take the worst job imaginable and even then there was not enough food to eat.

So I am going home to my Father I know that even he pay's his employees enough to eat.
I don’t know if he will allow me back under his roof because I have done bad, real bad stuff. I brought dishonor to my Fathers name by the way that I have been living and I don’t know if he will allow me to come home, but my Father is the only hope I have left. If he doesn’t accept me I don’t know what I will do.

I am still a long way off from my house and my despair is too much for me, will my Father love me and forgive me for what I have done?

Wait I see somebody running towards me from the direction of home why it is my Father, He’s shouting I can barely hear him, and getting closer.
I hear him now he is saying,

“Son O my dear son, I love you I love you I love you.”

My Father is hugging me, kissing me.

“Father I have sinned against heaven and before you and I am no more worthy to be called your son, please make me one of your hired servants."

And you know what my father said?

“I being your Father acknowledge before all that you are my son by giving you my ring and a robe and shoes from my house. Only my family is allowed these things.

We are going to have a feast tonight I proclaim this being your Father for you were
dead my son but you are now alive you were lost but now you are found."

The story you have just read is true.
It was told by the Lord Jesus Christ himself in

Luke 15:11
