When My Mom Rebuilt a burned out House

One day our Father shared with his family that we were to live at a new property.

We were all excited in the expectation of the new place we were to live at.
Once we got there we saw a trailer and a burnt out house.

We as children just accepted we would live in the trailer.
Our Father had plans to rebuild the house that was burned out.
He hired a local contractor to do the work paying him a lot of money to get started.

But this contractor had no real purpose in rebuilding our home nor did he have the will. He did not care. He only wanted money to support his wants. Even though he was license by the town and had schooling to know how to do things he had no real purpose to what his job profession was. He had no core of promise towards others.

My Mom saw that he had no purpose and on the second week kicked him off the property and decided that she herself would rebuild the house.

She went to work with purpose removing the burned debris from inside the shell of the house timber, moldings, beams and everything ruined from a fire from long ago. She then bought the right materials needed to start rebuilding a home.
She worked night and day every day by herself. My brother and I, being young, would watch her nailing, carrying, fixing and sheet rocking from the basement up. She even did the electrical wiring as well to code. She even had a new furnace put in.

She got the basement done and the first floor by winter. By the next summer she had the second floor all finish, passing inspection.

The reason I took the time to share all of this is

The Lord wants to be in the center of our lives so he can fix, repair and carry us and make us who he wants us to be, with purpose and direction.

With no burned debris in our lives but new beams built upon the fact of who he is. We cannot do this without him in our strength. It only can be done by His Spirit which resides in us who have been born again through a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus by receiving him. Then we can bring to God all our needs seeking him in prayer on how to do it.
After all only Satan wants a burned down house.

Jesus said, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
