Sin is like a candy bar, we all know what it tastes like, and we have all bitten into it. In fact we all like it.
But the candy bar of sin being alluring, and the consequence we experience after we bite into it no one likes, it brings discouragement, guilt feelings and consequences. We all see and know the Candy bar of sin, it’s always before us.
Now what if we had a new avenue of refreshment?
Another way, like a new water fountain we could drink from?
One that does not bring guilt or remorse from the sting of the consequences we suffer, but one which brings hope and trust and security. Which can even wash away the stain of doubt that the candy bar of sin made in the first place?
A refreshment, that is not seen but is all there just the same. A refreshment that one can experience the evidence of the hope it brings.
Are you tired and empty of your sin that you would want it?
This is about faith though? Yes faith, the substance of the things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. Not on some whimsical fantasy ideas of man, but on the validity of who God is and the power in Him and in His word.
The power He gives to us, is within His Son named Jesus.
Yes in Jesus, who said, whoever drinks of the water I give will never thirst. Never!
Would you want it?
Well God made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin, so that we could be made right before God in him.
Our sin was placed on Jesus at the cross and when that happened God had to turn his back on His Son. Then Jesus died. But three days later he arose from the dead ALIVE.
If you were right now to call on Jesus as your Lord, believing he died for your sins and that He is now alive for you to do this, He becomes your savior, your sin that you have done is applied to Him and Gods righteousness is applied to you.God made this so.
This is called GRACE.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
