Conformed To The Image of His Son

Do you have doubts if Jesus really called you, even though you prayed the sinners prayer and attend Church every Sunday? Or, you may doubt it that God really does hear and answers your prayers? Or you might have asked yourself: "Am I following the Lord?? Do I know Gods will for my life?"
Many questions like these have been asked by countless thousands of people who feel left out alone and discourage. Your not alone in wanting these questions answered.

You want to know that his power is leading and guiding you to victory. You want to smile in having the confidence that your prayers are answered. You want to know His will for your life, correct? You want to know that you have truly been called and that God really does hear your prayers, don't you?

To find out we must understand how to apply the prayer that The Lord Jesus Christ teaches us to pray.
Jesus says in Matthew 6:9-15,
6:9 Our Father who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name.
6:10 Thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.
6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
6:12 And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
6:13 And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
6:14 For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, amen.
6:15 For if you forgive men their trespass, your heavenly Father will forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespass, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

In Mathew 6:9 Christ clarifies his Father(God) as our Father (God) he is identifying His Father as our Father in the prayer.

Because of His sacrifice at the cross on our behalf we have come to know His Father, Jesus cleanse us of our sins and we experienced Gods holiness that we can have confidence that Jesus Father is now our Father and that He is praying with you and I to the Father.

"Thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."
Many individuals go through life not knowing Gods will for their life.
God's will for our life is to be conformed to the image of His Son Jesus. Teaching you and I to trust Him in our life experiences by the power of His Spirit to grow us up in our relationship with Him. Do you want this  request to be done in your life?

"Give us our day our daily bread"
If you do want to be conformed to the image of Gods Son you would want to allow God to show you by providing you answers from His word when you read the bible in this request you are praying.

"And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors."
People sin. We sin. We need daily cleansing drawing us ever so closer in the relationship with God. For us to continually walk in the light by the light of His word the bible.

"And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil"
Take one moment and for one brief second and interchange the word Temptation with Testing and back again for you to understand that your faith is so precious to God that He wants to build you up. Satan is allowed to tempt your faith as if fire for the test of your faith in your life to grow you up to trust God more. To grow you closer to the Lord.

"For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever, amen"
Your acknowledging that His grace towards you is real and that you want to be set apart. That you want to be sanctified. That you want all the above prayer to be real in your life and that only by the name of His Son the Lord Jesus Christ that all is true and that you want it to be true to you as well.
You may have hurt in your life right now that may hinder you from understanding all this.

Hurt is real. And I'm sure some know what hurt actually is and some don't. But in either case imagine, pick the vilest sinner right now, one asks for forgiveness.
Now imagine that Jesus is in the room listening to this individuals prayer. Now imagine Jesus then looks straight at you with nothing but love in His eyes and asks,
"Will You forgive him for me?"
What would your response be to your Lord?

Jesus said, "For if you forgive men their trespass, your heavenly Father will forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespass, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:9-15

    1. Because Steve, people want academics and not what the Spirit of God teaches in application.
