Enter Through The Door

In the Bible in the book of Romans chapter 12:1 we read,
’I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.’
The first time I read this in the bible a memory came to me on the first time I saw this in action. It was before I became a believer.
One time when I was 7 years old we lived on a property that had trees all around our yard.
And one day a thought was put in me to want to escape from our yard but I don’t remember what I wanted to escape from or escape to.
I looked out past our yard and saw a house about a half mile away in the distance.
And the thought was placed in me to go towards that house.

So without being detected by anyone I was able to proceed through the trees.
The more I got nearer the house the more I became secure in myself but I did not know why.
When I got to the front door of this house I decided to open the door and look in.
It was strange that the door was not locked.

As I opened the door and looked in I saw a Father and Mother with their son, about my age, and their daughter in a high chair.

And guess what?
They were praying.
I had never seen that before.
A family’s faith in God.
To describe it, it was as if the Lord’s presence was there with them. I was not born-again but all the same it was shown me.
I would come to realize when I had grown up what I saw. They were Spirit filled Christians in fellowship with God.

And maybe, just maybe. They were the first people ever to pray for me.
Now the reason why I shared this story is because many churches nowadays do have a pastor and do have members but they are not Spirit-filled body as a whole. They are not in fellowship with God. There is no core of biblical truth being taught so people can walk on the floor through the door of life in their faith.
They have academics but no life application either from the message presented or practiced within the church body.
I have talked to countless individuals that have gone to church two, three four years etc.etc. That when you ask them questions on who their faith is based on and why they do not know. Many don’t even have a secure knowledge that they are Born-Again.

They believe their doctrine but on how to apply the doctrine is not evident. They respond out of that of the flesh and not from having fellowship by the Spirit. That is why many churches are just drifting going the ways of the world becoming secular and getting smaller and smaller.

If you’re in doubt of your faith I suggest you first tell God about it.

It is in His will for you to know him and to have the assurance that comes by being in a relationship with him.
You can even leave a comment requesting me to pray for you to know as well as asking how.

And maybe, just maybe you can have someone praying for you.
God bless you as you long for God to reveal his truth to you. He loves you and cares for you.
He sent his Son Jesus to die for you for everything you ever done wrong which is in the way between you and God. Jesus death on the cross removed it.
But the good news is Jesus arose from the dead alive to show you.

Then Jesus said unto them again,

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

Howdy Pilgrim! Great message! Makes me wonder who was praying for ME in 1971 when in the quietness of my bedroom I asked Jesus to be my Savior! May I be more faithful to pray for my neighbors, and where I can, by name. Thanks once again for your rich encouragement. Keep pressing on! Pastor Jeremy

  2. Please pray for me, my name is Amber.
I do not know where i stand with GOD. Jesus is Real and He did die on the cross for many and He rose from the dead. i do believe this.

However, much sin is ever before me.
Pray that i can be reconciled to The Father through His Precious Son.
